Take him outside every 2 hours. Take some treats with you. As soon as he goes praise him and give him a treat. Dont feed him treats any other time, only when he goes outside.

Try this...
Put a newspaper in the kitchen or someplace with no carpet. Train your dog to go on that by using treats or praise. When he/she has been going there steadily when he/she has to go, start moving. Everyday, move the piece of newspaper closer and closer to the backyard. When it's in your backyard, let your dog use the newspaper for a couple more days and try taking it away. Keep the newspaper in the same spot in your backyard so that your dog will know that it is their "spot" and will go there instead of the carpet.
If your dog is peeing on your carpet DO NOT clean it with household cleaners. Most household cleaners contain "ammonia" which is found in pee. If you clean the spot with ammonia cleaners, when the dog smells it it's like waving a flashing sign that says " COME AND DO YOUR BUISNESS OVER HERE". Your dog will smell the ammonia and go there. You can try using cleaners sold in the pet store or you can use a little peroxide and water on a sponge and scrubbing. You'll never even know that there was a stain!
Hope this helps you! ^.^

Dogs can sence if your mad or happy by the tone of your voice so be ferm with it, give it a simple command everytime your outside that tells the pooch its allowed to 'go' now. Treet it for a job well done, and spray it with water, or lightly tap its nose when it goes on the carpet. Say NO when its being bad and pet it when its good. Some dogs will take months to train, but with the help of the owner [you] by giving it love and support it should be just fine. Be patient this is not an overnight process so give it some time.

Good luck!!

The key to housetraining a dog (regardless of age, weather conditions, etc.) is persistance! First, thoroughly clean all soiled areas with a neutralizer, such as Nature's Miracle. Regular household cleaners do absolutely no good. Bring your dog outside every two hours consistantly and give ample time for him to pee. Use praise and treats when he accomplishes his duty. Never, ever "punish" a dog by shouting, or worse, any physical reprimands. Never swat, tap, or hit your dog. All that will do is cause him to fear you. Be vigilant with his schedule! You may have to use a kennel (while you are gone) until he gets the hang of things, but he will! Patience and persistance will help you accomplish your goals. Good luck!

Give the dog treats like milk-bones when he/she does its business outside. There has to be a connection, so you must give it to them quickly

Just keep showing her the back door and taking her out. Once she sees she has a routine she will go out all the time.
