Love is not about how much you give. Love is about giving unconditionally. Without reciprocity. That is love.
Doing what is best for another regardless of the cost. Expecting nothing in return. That is love.

Except for God, yes.
Of course we are all asked by God to love as He does, i.e. unconditionally, which is without looking for reciprocation.
As weak, imperfect, mortal beings, we cannot love like that for very long at once or for many people until we give up and start asking or unfortunately in some cases, demanding much of the love we gave to others back to our lonely or damaged selves.

no there need be no reciprocation from another person .
love does work without pay
love seeks to relive rather then be relieved
love seek to provide Rather then be provided for
love seeks kindness not from the other instead toward the other.
love waits when there is no hope of arrival.
love cries when the other is no longer crying
love sings prays works helps waits heals forgives forgets remembers includes and much more all of this love does with out there being anything more then the opportunity to love.

Yes there is but that comes from God filling up your spirit with love, joy, peace, provision and whatever else you may need. When you place your attention on man to fullfill those things you will be miserably disappointment. That is why whenever you walk in love toward any person you should do all things unto the Lord not man. God will reward you everytime.

Love is the willingness to be committed to the sanctity of the individual's prerogative and right(given that person by God) to a contrary world view.
But it is not a celebration of someone else's contrary world view.
Do I say to a person who is a murderer my prerogative, my priviledge here is to tell you no matter what I really love you?
That is not love but that is a distortion of love.
God says John 3;16.

There dose not have to be, but like everything else, if love is too one sided
it can cause pain. Unbalanced love can create un-happiness for the least loved.

Love is not about how much you give... to give is sometimes not loving at all! Love cares enough to put the interests of another ahead of your own, while still loving yourself enough to care about you. True love, when realized, is a matter of mutuality.

some times ppl give to gain or benifit thier intrests, so saying love is all about giveing is a misintepration,if your poor and you love some one who is poorer then u then that could be defined as true love.
