yes it is. we probably used to be harrier that we are. but consider this: that's a loss. we lost hair, we didn't gain anything new. so actually that would be working in the opposite direction that evolution would have to move to create new life forms and all those other things it's supposed to do.

you can't just keep losing stuff, eventually you'll have to gain something.

also, as a particularly hairy person, i resent that you refer to it as "ugly black hair". i consider my hairiness a sign of beauty, even if nobody else does.
