i'm still waiting. i came very close a few times, but just couldn't go thru with it.. not sure if i will wait for marriage, or not, but i know that it will have to be a long-term serious relationship for me to be ready to go all the way.
i'd like to find a woman who feels the same way, but it's tough to use virginity as your prime motivation in finding a partner.
try to give every guy a chance and get to know him well. you can't control what people have done in their past, so focus on yourself. keep that virginity and save it as long as you need to.
you are not wasting your time at all. there are tons of guys out here that will love and respect a woman who wants to wait. not every guy wants/needs sex right away in a relationship.

from my perspective,,,, growing up in a fairly conservative religious household, a guy would not turn down a roll in the hay if he knew he could get away with no one knowing about it. Guys are guys no matter what, . . . and the pursuit of physical contact and connection is part of being a man. You may want to revisit what your "ideal" man is all about, and maybe do away with some of your preconceived notions as to what that means. Just because a guy wants/has had sex, does in NO WAY make him a bad person. You may be blinding yourself to some wonderful men using this as your basis for deciding on a perfect mate.

Well it all depends on how well young men control their urges.
To be honest, it is not easy because of the natural function most males reproductive system.
I remember creaming in my pants when I was only 12 years old.
I was just lying down in the bed and I felt so horny.
I was too young to understand what was happening to me.
Being celibate is also difficult especially if a guy have all ready been exposed to some great sex.

You're not wasting your time at all. You're completely justified in looking for a guy like this. There are tons of guys that want to wait, you're just not looking hard enough I guess. You have a stereotypical view that all guys want sex as soon as possible, this is not true at all. You would probably be surprised.

You're not wasting your time. I know two personally who waited, and one who's still believes in saving himself. If fact, one of them said without hesitation that he was very glad to hear about women who are/have keeping/kept their virginity.
Another option: those who didn't save themselves but asked God to cleanse them. As long as they *currently* believe in saving themselves for the one, right woman, they shouldn't passed over, either. :-)
If a guy's not willing to commit, he's not worth your time. He can say he loves you a million times, but all that means nothing after he's used you and left.
Make sure you're dating/seeing/courting a guy for who he is; that's the main thing.
God bless you, for your virginity is a badge of honor.

This really isn't a answer, but I wanted to know the same thing! I think you should continue on your path because you may regret it if you do not wait. If may be hard, especially with society making it seem like you have to do it or your a "loser" or not "attractive". Say what they want but you know why you do not do what you may want to do.

To you it won't sound tacky, but to every body else it probably would. you obviously value your body and all your feelings. In my church group in South Africa there is allot of guy virgins, now a days it is cool to be uncool. (not to have sex)Does that make any sence?

How old are you? I was waiting until marraige and then 19 came around and I couldn't take it anymore. So who knows- maybe he'll give in. Don't push it too hard or he may resentyou if it does happen. But tease the hell out of him ;)
