I been taking a antibotic for a prostate infection, today is day 6 I noticed if I drink a cup tea shortly afterwards my face gets flushed and I feel sick to my stomach. Does green or black tea have any type of effect on antibotics ?

I know nausea is a common side effect but I only feel this way when I drink tea

It might depend on the type of antibiotic you are taking and if it is meant to be taken on an empty stomach or in combination with food. Medications meant to be taken on an empty stomach can and do cause nausea when there are things eaten or still in the stomach at the time, and even tea could conceivably cause an upset due to other chemicals it contains- the caffeine, or just the others. Medication which needs an empty stomach should be taken with only water, and you should wait at least 30-45 minutes afterwards before taking on anything else. Medication meant to be taken with food can cause upset if taken on an empty stomach or without enough food to buffer the stomach. Those medicines tend to be irritating to the stomach or dissolve too quickly and are not absorbed correctly unless taken with food. You would need to see which type you have, and if you are not sure ask the pharmacist who filled the prescription. Since the medication only causes the problem when you take it with tea, I am thinking there is something about the tea which is interacting with the tablets, but the pharmacist would know much better than I.
