Has anyone who answered done any research on cockfighting?

lola, if you did any research than you would know that ALL GAMECOKS are NATURALLY AGGRESSIVE toward eachother. A father will kill his own son when the son is about 4 months old and brothers will kill eachother when they are about 4-6 monts old.

Yes they are territorial, but can you name me one other mammal on the world that won't stop fighting until the other one is dead

touche!!!!! glad to hear your additional comments however......it is not a territorial thing-it is sex drive and survival of the fittest which causes them to fight. they do not have to be trained nor can you stop them. we have had them come out of the egg and kill each other . it is more cruel out in the yard for them to fight than to fight them in a controlled situation and the only way you will ever stop game birds from fighting is to irradicate the entire species! legalize it!

Well, the last dumb school for cockfighting in USA, yes in Texas just closed, it was free but still a school. It is stupidly arrogant to think that those animals are not getting hurt, the reason they fight besides being egged on is because they are territorial.

Edit: RebeccaT, what do you think "territorial" means, exactly what you said "sex drive and survival of the fittest which causes them to fight." If the co_ck didn't care about mating with the fittest duh, he wouldn't need to be territorial hence wouldn't even fight.

illegal. it only helps promote animal cruelty. people will think if its OK to watch them kill each other it will be okay to kill them yourself. i believe if someone wants to see a violent, bloody mess, they should watch boxing(willing participants) or take a beating themselves. and yes i have done research as well as watch many shows on the subject. the roosters that are rescued usually have to be euthanized because they are too violent to live a normal life.

Illegal! Blood sports are sick and cruel. What is so fun about watching chickens/roosters scratching eachother to death? If any thinks it [or any other blood sport] is humorous or fun to watch, you must be heartless and twisted.

it should be legalized and taxed.it can never be abolished and these birds have ben bred for this charecteristic since the dawn of time.this is their nature and the reason they are raised. a leopard will never chance it,s spots either!
