I'm starting it this saturday. I heard about the nausea and stuff.. How'd it work for any of you taking it?

As with any drugs at our clinic, usually it takes a week to tolerate the medications. Our psychiatrists will start with Cymbalta 30 mg once a day for two weeks and then increase to 60 mg once a day. With this slow tritration up to the dose will reduce any major side effects. Their is a Cymbalta 90mg but have not seen any of our clients on that high of a dose yet.

It works great for me. I had some nausea and dizziness for a week or two at first.

a friend start this last summer, he did not have any side effects, he is not going off this for awhile but was told by his doctor that he would have to taper off the drug slowly
