I have a friend and I have known him for over a year now. He used to live about 10 minutes away from me. He moved away to be a missionary in Mexico. We email each other 1-6 times a week. Sometimes the emails are short and sometimes they are long. Does he like me? I can't ever tell with this guy. Thanks in advance!

Most of the time, he asks how I am doing. But, sometimes the emails are more like friend, so I can't tell.

If he emails you that often, he probably does since men don't seem to waste much of their time on people they don't like. Maybe try expressing an interest in him and see his reaction.

Maybe, you cant tell just by emails because he is just being a friend. Only way to know its to see how he acts around you

Since he lives so far from you, I would continue the friendship that you currently have. When he comes back let him know that you have feelings for him. Since he is on his mission, it is best to just be friends. Perhaps when he does come back, you can begin dating and persue more than just a friendship.
