English trained winners of the Epsom Derby do not have a great record.
Motivator, winner in 2005, again raced 3 times after his Derby win but also failed to win again.
North Light, winner of the Epsom Derby in 2004, ran 3 times after the Derby, but did not win again.
Kris Kin, winner in 2003, raced three times after his win, but failed to win again.
Irish trained horses won the Derby in 2000 - 2002.
In 1999 Oath, trained by Henry Cecil won the Derby, but he too failed to win again in his only susequent outing.
The last English trained horse to win the Derby and go on to win again was HIGH-RISE (IRE). Trained by Luca Cumani in Newmarket he won the Derby in 1998. He never won again for Luca Cumani, but went on to win a Listed Race in Dubai in February 2000 for a new trainer (not sure who!).
If you don't want to count that one, as the race was hardly significant, you will have to go back as far as the great LAMMTARRA (USA) in 1995 to find an English trained winner of the Epsom Derby that went on to confirm his status as top 3 year old colt. Lammtarra went on to win the King George and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot, as well as the Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe, retiring unbeaten in only 4 career starts for Godolphin (Saeed Bin Suroor).

the single that pasts the submit first! yet heavily, the way Cape Blanco gained the Dante and he's not even on the right of the ballydoyle pecking order makes me have self assurance they're going to win it yet with which one? St Nich Abbey altho he disenchanted in the process the week a minimum of now his odds are maximum reasonable and perchance little bit of value. Jan vemeer do no longer deserve his value on what he has beat and Midas touch cud be the e/w value as he gained Derrinstown in very spectacular time so for me its SNA win and Midas touch e/w. I dont think of Bullet prepare would be in first 3 sorry Jac!! As for the o.ok. Its all approximately Henry Cecil for me aswel, disenchanted Queally isn't on Timepiece as I even have her backed at 12's yet nonetheless confident she would be able to be in first 3. i actually wish Cecil wins this whether its with Aviate EDIT: Kezza Cape Blanco sounds like going for French Derby and Chabal def would not run in Epsom he's been givin a wreck,
