Just think about it for a minute...how is that in the slightest bit rational? What do you know from your experiences here that would lead you to believe that? Life is not organized, life is not fair, life does not lead up to some great climax or reward... and Even if earth was created, it sure as **** isn't created by some All-powerful, all-loving, omnipotent dude. Love is an emotion..Where does this guy keep his Medula Oblongata? All-powerful...hmm...not powerful enough to stop the holocaust before 10,000,000 people were tortured and killed, was he....and then there's wars, and hunger, and catastrophic disasters, and suicide bombers....wait wait, maybe he is powerful enough and just doesn't want to stop them....but then there's that all loving part...Just none of it adds up. It makes more sense that we are all here by some natural conditions, that weren't created by anything but randomness that spirals into order..humans..confusion...beliefs in gods....Can anyone help me understand?

So you guys are basicly saying I should believe in god b/c, there is plenty of evidence, it just can't be understood by me b/c my brain is not as complex as god's.
So I SHOULDN'T believe in god, but I should b/c I should realize I SHOULDN'T , and that I believe I SHOULDN't because I am just not smart enough.
Thx, i'll skip the brainwashing mumbo jumbo.

Awwww...I can not see wind. That is true. But my disbelief in god is not about seeing, it's about proving.
Wind's existance can be proven. God can not.
They are not one in the same...Tht simile was faulty.

God is in Heaven, not "in the sky." Just because you can't wrap your mind around God and His mind doesn't mean He doesn't exist. It just proves that He has used the simple to confound the wise.
We live in a fallen and troubled "natural" world. There is evil because we have opened the doors wide and allowed it in. That's our fault, not God's. If He were to take away evil, He would take away free will. Then we'd all be good little robots. That's what choice and free will are all about.
You know He exists even when you are in denial. Well check out the passage below.
Check out Romans 1:18-31...
Romans 1:18-31 (New International Version)
God's Wrath Against Mankind
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.
I hope that helps!

the problem is that your picture of God is scewed a little. you need to give up the cartoonish version of God being an old man with a long beard sitting on a cloud. God is a trans-matter being that exists outside of space, and does not usually have a physical appearance of any kind.
God does not say that life will be full of climaxes or rewards. God basically says that if you love Him then even when nothing is ok, everythings ok. and if you ask any Christian, they'll tell you the same.
also, you're looking at the wrong world. this isn't the way God wanted the world to be, but humans have ruined it. we turned our back on God, told Him we're going to live like He doesn't exist, and now everythings gone wrong. but i trust God when He says that some day He's going to make everything better.
the Medula Oblongata is just the way by which Humans can feel love in our imperfect bodies. God doesn't have a body, and so doesn't need one.

The real question is "why not believe?" If I am right, then you are screwed. I you are right, we will rot in the ground together. Only way to win both ways, is to believe.
Also, there is some confusion on death or stopping death. Death is not bad, it is something good that we should all be looking forward to. If you die, you are happy. God killing people is good, because they are welcomed into their eternal glory. It is not in man's hands to take the life of another, so this is evil. When it is allowed, or caused by God; then it is just the persons time to go. Perhaps if you saw what lies beyond the grave you would have a different outlook on life, which is another reason you should believe in "the guy in the sky."

If a god exists, it may do even if that it needs. The question is: what's sensible? So the following’s the problem: you're the Almighty. you've created each one of those impressive artists, philosophers, scientists, comedians and different imaginative human beings, and many don’t have self belief in you for even if that reason. perhaps they were born Buddhist, or before Christ, or perhaps if that. mutually, the Almighty has also created each one of those bleating sheep. All they could do is bypass baahhh, baahhh. Now who might want to you opt for to be surrounded with the aid of for all eternity? I’m wondering the Almighty’s version of hell contains being surrounded with the aid of a collection of bleating sheep. As for me, if for some unusual reason he does opt for to be surrounded with the aid of the bleating sheep, i'd like the alternative. a minimum of i'd get some relax.

Wait. It makes more sense that we are here by a freak sense of circumstances that just happened to mold us into the incredibly complicated life forms we are. To me that's the explanation that doesn't make sense. I mean really. since when was life not organized? Like reproduction of a cell? the way your brain works? the way the smallest of organisms like bacteria carry out most of the vital functions needed to keep your body running?
God because he is all loving bestows opon us free will. Imagine if your whole life was dictated to the second because he was trying to protect you. So that is why we have free will. And from this free will comes mistakes that we make in our choices. Last time I checked God wasn't the one that was killing 10,000,000 people it was the Communist leaders. So I don't know why that is God's fault since we all want free will. Some people are going to do things that hurt others. That's just the way it is.
Also if we lived in a Utopia then why would we need a God? so in order for us to love and apreciate him we must be tried and tested.

hahahahahahahahha i laugh at you. Jesus is love and the world won't be happy until everybody genuinely sees that. Yes, i've heard of the inquisition and all that christian-inspired sadness, but there's something called a zealot. Zealots are crazy and are in things for the wrong reasons. There is also something called free-will. God lets us do what we want. Sadly, we'd rather kill each other than be happy and peaceful. How do you know that life doesn't lead up to some "great climax or reward." Have you never thought of eternity? You have some thinking to do. Get to it.

Sounds like you have an inkling of the difference between good and evil, but have no concept of the struggle within the fabric of time for control of man's mind. Your mind is a stronghold right now.
Deep down you know the truth, but bitterness only comes forth from within you.
May God grant you the Peace you are seeking. It will only come through your heart and not through rationalizing with your mind.

Whether or not you believe in some guy in the sky Organized religion plays an important part in today's society by acting as a conscience to government and big business. Somebody has to say it's not right to starve people just because they cant get work and it's not right to bomb people just because they don't think the same as you. I stand up for these things and welcome you to do the same. I also go to church every Sunday.

Who says God lives in the sky? He also does not control the human population. He does not intervene in choices be they evil or good. We have to make our own way here. This is a test. Some fail the test. Hitler was a failure. Good does not cancel out the bad. Bad does not cancel out the good. You have to reach your own understanding through study and research. I am a geologist and a devout Christian. Some people with little understanding of either would think that my belief is contradictory to my understanding of science. I believe they compliment each other with no conflict.

Do you believe there is a wind? Why? You cannot see it? The same with God, you cannot see Him neither! But you can see where He has been, by the miracles He has created. The sky, the sun. the moon, the stars, the earth, etc. Now why shouldn't one believe in God?

Read your Bible. And by the way, nothing in this world just happened. We, and everything else in this world, are created by the Master of the Universe, God Almighty. I don't need to think about it because I believe God. And to that I say Amen.
