The highest form of magick practitioner is a Wizard. A magician is lower. Today most magicians are just actors doing a magic show.

A magician is an illusionist that makes you think something happened that didn't.

A wizard is a really smart guy that can do all kinds of cool things on what ever he is using. (Computer wizard, guitar wizard, poker wizard)

different names? in my opinion a wizard is way more rehearsed in the arts, where a magician really just sounds like someone who preform magic tricks.

if i met both and both really existed. id fear a wizard more as theyd have more to do with elemental spells controlling fire and wind and the arcane, whereas a magician id snicker as he makes coins pop out from behind my ears.
