Couldhave gone too far down and put pressure on the nerve or blood supply to the tooth. You may have an infection of the nerve if it hurts bad. I really dont know!

absolutely not!!!!!!
RUN dont WALK to your dentist. You may have a dry socket which is a breeding ground for bacteria and decay. This can also cause an abcess, which is a high concentration of infection (usually accompanied by pus and a smelly green discharge - sorry to gross you out, but this is serious!) Also, the dentist may have left a piece of the tooth in your gums, which is also bad news. Generally your body will automatically "eject" the fragment, but sometimes it doesnt and the tooth part may get lodged in your gums and then you'll be dealing with root canals and severe decay. I'm not a dentist, so I would contatc a medical professional, but dont wait any longer. PLEASE SEEK MEDICAL CARE!
I wish you the best!

The filling may be high and needs to be adjusted. Even if the filling is off by just a little bit it will hurt. Some sensitivity is normal with composite fillings (tooth colored). But I would call and go in for a quick visit!

No, it is absolutely not normal to have pain for 3 more weeks. Don't try to diagnose yourself Go to your dentist immediately. Anything over 6-7 days is time for a recheck. And you shouldn't be charged any extra for it. Do it right away. Feeling pain is dumb, if you don't have to.

You probably have an infection underneath the filling. Phone the dentist and he'll probably need to see you again. (Shouldn't cost again as he should have picked up on it first time around) He'll write you a script for anti bio tics and it should clear up in a few days time.

It's not normal, but from the description alone it's not clear what's causing it. Let your dentist know and have it looked at.

You need to call the dentist to let him know you are still having problems. The dentist can't read your mind and I am pretty sure he isn't hanging on these message boards reading these post so call him.
