Science explains this through evolution:

the formation of goose bumps in humans under stress is a vestigial reflex; its purpose in humans' evolutionary ancestors was to raise hair to make the animal appear bigger and scare off predators. Raising the hair is also used to trap an extra layer of air, to keep the animal warm

And yours is? Please tell me God made it that way?

Think about it. If you don't believe in what God has done...

Regarding creation, you are left to explain the world in terms of evolution, which is scientifically proving more and more unbelievable.

Regarding God's sovereignty, you are left to believe that life deals you random blows and that there is no meaning to life.

Regarding God's decrees, you are left to believe that history is an accident and is headed nowhere.

Regarding miracles, you are left to believe that God does not intervene in the affairs of people or history.

As for the goosebumps, God is an awesome God!

Lord, thank You for helping me know that You have created everything and You are sovereign over it. Thank You that You are guiding all history, as well as my life, toward a predetermined--and good--end. Help me to trust in You at all times and to take courage and comfort in Your plan and Your power. Amen.

God did design us that was. I didn't know that was the reason that other animals have goosebumps, but I trust that you are well researched. So I don't know why God wouldn't make us this way. he probably did it for the same reasons. I mean if I wanted to stay warm then I would grow out the hair on my body. It is my personal hygenial choise to shave but that doesn't mean that the hair couldn't still serve it's purpose.

And for the evolutionists.

"How did the big boom possibly result in goose bumps. you're trying to tell me that just because of an explosion I now have thousands of tiny hair folicles all over my body."

What animal ancestor are you refering to? What is the purpose of "goose bumps" that rise for no reason at all? No stress, not cold, just happens sometimes. I do know that the size of my "goose bumps" doesn't increase my size at all. Pants don't tighten and my hair doesn't fluff up. Does yours?

look for the obvious first! If it is cold or not? If you have just touched something that might be statig? If not but you got goosebumps because somebody said something to you that is important, or spiritual truth, then it is your spirit ecxited, rejoicing and trying to tell you something. Like that what you just found out is the truth...

Didnt know this. Thanks.

Alternative religious explaination: God made goosebumps to betray the emotional dispostion of the individual, and to give kids something to marvel at. Also, this could have been God's early version of sandpaper for the more scaley of skin.

I have hair too, and when it stands up I feel warmer. Also, all mammals are taken from the same program basis. Hence, a lot of similarities.

I get goose bumps because my flesh is sensitive to my personal feelings of cooler temps. (Trust me, I have enough hair on my arms to keep me warm if it's cold.)
My soul does not get goosebumps.

i know my cats get goosebumps (i can feel it under their fur) and they don't look much bigger. I'm a Christian and I believe God can do what He wants. Evolution or not, I don't care. Why do you care so much?
