Ah, I was in your situation sweetie.

Remember that its not money or material things to make you happy. If you want a cheap sweet sixteen, I suggest having friends all make different food dishes (like one girl bring brownies, one girl bring chips, one salad, etc) and rent a couple movies.

Nothing makes you feel better than spending time with your friends and family.

Or maybe go out to the beach (or other FREE natural place in your area) with friends or family.

Money isnt important. When youre 80 years old you wont remember how much you spent on your birthday, you will remember who you were with and the love you felt.

Happy birthday!!

What do you like? If you like to party (traditional; food and dining) create a night to remember in your home. If you have a patio decorate it to resemble a place you've never been but want to. Create a mood. Put on some music for people to dance. If you're into games and your friends are too, put out a table with your favorite (not video - they only separate people).

You are your friends should all get together and go do something fun, no need to have a party if everybody is with you doing something fun? As long as you have a tiara on that says "BIRTHDAY GIRL" you will have a blast. Well at least I hope so, cuz thats what I'm doing for my birthday this satuday =)

my family didn't have much money so for my birthday i had friends over for a good old fashioned sleep over. we painted each others' nails/toenails we gossiped watched movies things like that. it's fun to get with your closest friends like that. or you could have people over to your house and crown yourself princess and wear a tiara play music, dance just have a party at your house.

you can just have a regular family dinner with a birthday cake as dessert, of course....this shouldn't cost you that much..

if you want to go out.....go to a cheap restaurant, though I'm not sure if it'll end up "cheap" since it depends what everyone orders..

P.S. Happy Sweet 16th!

get a bunch of your good friends to pitch in with ideas and money that is available and have a ball. it is not the money that makes the thing anyway it is the fellowship.
