From your plea it seems like they may have swallowed mini or micro lights. If this is true, it could pass thru the intestines and be eliminated when they go poo!
Usually cats would play with the lights, inspect it and since it is not food quality they will usually walk off. if the light dangles then the cat would play with it, attack it and generally cause mayhem for the light.
Usually younger cats will play with things like that, the older cats will look inspect, go ho-hum and find something else that piks their interset.
Keep a close eye on the cats, if they try to cough it up then you may decide to invest in a vet for further observation.

First you should consider the thought, is it to big for your cat to eat? Or is it small enough for your cat to eat. Try recounting the lights on your tree, it could be hanging some where arond the trunk or between the branches (Often happens)!
Secondly, if it is small enough try looking around the tree or your house for the light, its possible your cats where playing with it and dragged it some where.
Thirdly, if all else fails take your cat(s) to the vet immediantly to get X-Rays and a check up, it could be very harmful to their system if they have consumed the ornament (Light).
Lastly, if everything is fine after you took them to the vet then consider the thought that you may have miscounted or it could be lying some where around the house.

LED lights should actually look BETTER than the normal ones, so i don't know that they're LED. can u not just reuse ur old lights, or are u upset cuz u're seeing other ppl's houses with those new lights? something so small like that shouldn't decide whether you like christmas or not. that's silly. if it's gonna bother you that much, tho, u can always find bright lights on the internet and probably pay less. christmas is about celebrating the life of Jesus, spending time with your family, and giving to others. try and remember that.

Check their stools, BUT if either one of them changes their behavior even slightly, get to the vet. Cats are notorious for masking problems and illnesses. Sometimes they indicate something is wrong by a very subtle change in behavior. Just keep a close eye on them for the time being.

If they aren't showing any symptoms I wouldn't be worried. If they are acting weird or throwing up or having trouble breathing then take them to the vet. Lights tend to come off Christmas trees. I wouldn't worry.

I'd leave it and keep an eye on them. Check their bowel movements for a couple of days, if it's not passed by then (and you've not found it) then take them to the vets! Any change in behaviour etc - take them to the vets!

Take your cat to the Vet immediatley. Broken glass or plastic in its system can do major damage if not kill it.

well, i think you should ask everyone in your house if they have seen the x-mas light. And maybe your cats didn't eat it, because they are acting just fine.
bye!
