what would your life be like without the invention of the light bulb?

First of all, if the question implies that the 'light bulb' would not at all be invented and no substitute would be available for lighting, like the Fluorescent tube Lights; then my answer would be less of Insomnia in this world and I could have better and longer deep-sleep and in the morning I would have felt more freshened than how I wake up in these 'modern' days with light bulb / tube lights.

But for arguments sake, let us consider that only the invention of light bulb did not happen to date, then the other form of light producing devices would have invented at least some 100 years ago. This we can say by taking the analogy of development of Motor car and Airplane; which implies that people did not get inspired from the invention of light bulb and then build these two essential items of our lifestyles.

Oh, my life would be so wonderful. I would immediately invent the electric light bulb, because I know how to, and I'd be making billions.

For one, I wouldn't have a symbol for whenever I have ideas!

For two: candles wouldnt be romantic. they would be a utility.

Also no tv, flashlights, computers,or anything else that emits light. I would have to say that technology would have stopped developing in the ways we are familiar with and would have spun offf in a completely different direction.
