She says her love has "changed"?
We have been in a lesbian relationship for 4 years. I personally think she is just afriad to keep it going because of the horrible past experience she had with a guy, but she says she only loves me like a friend now. We do argue alot but I think that is what makes us unique it takes teamwork to make compromises. She also says that I have changed, I believe no matter how much a person seems to change they are still the same inside and that same person you fell in love with. What I want to know is, is it possible for a persons love to change from romantic to friendship and what exactly defines love? I thought it took friendship to have love. Please help and answer me I am at the end of my rope.

Of course things like that can happen unfortunately. sometimes if it does it's almost like they might have never been sure about their love for you in the first place. Honestly if you fight that much you shouldn't be with her. It's not a unique thing... It's unhealthy for the both of you. People do change and sometimes those changes are too much for the other person. And if she doesn't love you for who you are, for everything about you, then hun she's not for you and you need to move on and find someone else who will truely care about you and walk the world over to get you the blade of grass you want.

Hang in there girl

I don't know that the word changed is bad unless of course the two of you have broken up.

What I mean by that is that as you go through life with a partner things do change into something more comfortable.

I think that her telling you that you have changed would be a more compelling question. I would ask Why is it that you think I have changed. What don't I do that I did do? etc.

Love is a million different things, looking out for each other, being loyal to each other, trying to help the other person, trying to ease their burdens etc

I believe that a friendship is the best loving relationship there is......period.

Life is hard enough and having a best friend is a wonderful thing. I married my best friend and we've been together for 20 years

We all get heart hurts, at different times in our life. I wish you the best and hope that what I have said has helped you in some way.
