no, don't waste your time trying to guess what you are allergic to. i've had allergy testing done before and they don't use needles, they dip little plastic cones with ridges at the ends into the concentrate of the allergen and then they poke you with it. theres no blood, no injection. you just wait 20 minutes for the reaction to fully develop and at the end, they know what you're allergic to based on what you developed a hive to. i was tested for 28 environmental allergens and i was positive for 25!! so i know how much it sucks to have bad allergies. but knowing makes your life so much easier, you can plan around different foods or pets (in my case) and its not so unexpected when you have a reaction. plus i got an awesome prescription and i hardly have allergic reactions now. bite the bullet and do it!

If you think continuing the allergy tests is more than you can tolerate, you're going to be in deep trouble if you ever have a major illness. None of us is crazy about needles but they're part of the real world. There is no one diet that will fit all patients just as one allergy profile that will fit all patients. Get the tests; follow the doctor's advice; possibly save your own life by doing so.

Allergies are specific. The reactions get worse with each exposure. For example if you reacted to peanuts with hives, the next exposure could cause shortness of breath or anaphylaxis which could result in death. Find out what you are allergic to so that you do not harm yourself. You are very important to those who love you and care and even from others that you are not aware of. Your allergies may not even be food related. Good luck and I'm sure you have the courage to do the right thing.
