I don't think you can get rid of them in two days. What I've tried that works is that as soon as you start to feel one coming take an L-lysine supplement. It gets rid of mine in 3-4 days and prevents them from coming. Good luck!

I positioned some tea tree oil on sores with a Q-Tip. It stings slightly yet dries them out quick. Then i take advantage of a lip balm to coat my lips afterwards, which also keeps the sore from tearing as you bypass about your day. actual keep the balm (or chapstick or perhaps if that) with you at the same time as you've the sore. also, nutrition C facilitates strengthen your immune gadget and help wrestle the virus. Abreva (the over the counter-cream) looks to paintings suited in case you follow it once you sense a sore coming near- it would not look to do a lot as quickly because it has already surfaced. As for ice- ugh! i'd actual no longer attempt that lower back if I were you! reliable luck!

There are antiviral drugs that work on herpes viruses like those that cause cold sores. If you get them very frequently, routine use of these drugs can decrease the number of times you break out, but I suspect what you're interested in is that if you begin taking them at the very earliest signs of a break-out, they'll lessen symptoms and shorten duration. Probably too late this time, but your doctor can prescribe something for next time. Over-the-counter drugs can alleviate symptoms but will not shorten duration.

Over the Counter Abreva helps. Zovirax ointment requires a prescription. There isn't a product that I'm aware of that will resolve your problem in two days. I hope you feel better soon.

Abreva. It's an antiviral ointment and the only OTC medication that will treat the cold sore itself.

A nurse told me that cold sores (herpes) is present in everyone. The fever blister is caused by stress. It is our body's reaction to stress. High fevers, too much sun, and too much emotional stress (anger, tension, anxiety, etc..) I used to get fever blisters often, until that nurse spoke to me. I then began focusing on inner peace and a calm spirit. Find your center.

There's a lip treatment out and for the life of me I can't remember the name...! Anyway, it should be by the chapsticks and stuff, try it out. But it's pretty expensive.
