Iam a 30 year old independant black woman. My man gets upset because I dont have to ask him for anything. He says that he feels that hes not a man because i dont need his help financially . Should he be upset?

Couldn't you just let him think you need him for something once in a while? ;o) Men need to be needed by a woman and need to be admired.
Ask him to help with physical things, pick out something you'd like that you can't afford by yourself and let him pay the difference, or just get it for you. Let him give to you.... even if you don't "need" it.... because he needs it. Know what I mean?

Some men get sacred when they live with some one who is really independent as I can see here.
I suggest that U can let him feel that he is responsible for some stuff, no harm if U ask him to buy some home stuff or some personal things for U.. spacillay now at the Xmas time will be good occasion so U can start change.
Many women wish that they have the same type of man lol.

it depends. It's great to be independent, but make sure you don;t send out the message that you never need help. If he is a little upset occasionally, then its not a problem. But if he keeps going at u constatnly-time to get someone who can deal w/ women being independent.

he has no confidence. your man should be proud to be with a strong, independent black woman. that's his insecurities and that's not your problem. you cant fix him, he needs to fix himself or else the relationship wont work.

forget about how he should feel.
try to create ways he knows you need him.
like opening jars you can't get or reaching things.
or fixing things you would otherwise have to pay a repair person.
whatever his skills are. maybe he could build a deck on your house or something. you need to need him. he needs to be able to take care of you. even if it is cooking your favorite meal.
why not ask him to buy you that special pair of earrings that you just wouldn't buy for yourself.

good for u---some men (race is not relevant) have a problem when the woman makes good money
if he can't handle it---might be time to find someone else
