This is a very touchy situation because you could ruin the whole friendship if they don't feel the same way about you. Do they feel the same way? If your not sure then I would wait till you got some hints from them. If your friend is a woman she will definitely give you hints so watch for them but until then I wouldn't do it.

If you are good friends you will know if your ready to move past friendship. If not, don't give up the friendship. Find someone else to date.....millions of fish in that sea out there
