Does anyone know what the "Barbarian Invasions" are? Historically their have been many Barbarian Invasions, from invaders like Jihadist Arabs or Pagan Vikings. In each case, the ignorant Barbarian overcame a vastly superior but more peaceful civilization.
Google the "Arab Invasions". This is histories greatest genocide, by far. Read historians like Gautier and Durant, who clearly announce this horrific event as the bloodiest in human history.
The Arab Muslims invaded India, which was primarily Hindu and Buddhist, both very peaceful religions. Only after the Jihadist genocide of the Hindus did you have a new violent sect of Hindusim, called the "Sihks".
Whats most amazing however, is the fact that Hindu civilization was vastly superior to that of its Islamic invaders. They invented the "zero" and what we now call "arabic numerals". Yet they were butchered. Why? Because Islam is better suited to the enviroment. (READ ADDITION)

Hindus may have been intellectually superior to their Islamic invaders, but their peace doctrines made their culture vulnerable or less adapted to the enviroment.
Islam is better adapted because it creates the greatest cohesion between fighters without any peace doctrines obstructing their warfare. In fact, their religious doctrines do the opposite!

Was Muhammad "warring with himself to become a better muslim" when he attacked a harmless caravan? Was he "warring with himself to become a better muslim" when he waged war with all of his neighbors constantly? Was he "warring with himself to become a better Muslim" when he slaughtered a whole tribe of Jews and enslaved their wives and children under the suspicion that they were conspiring with his Meccan enemies? Was he encouraging his followers to war with themselves to become better muslims when he told them to attack the infidel Jews and Christians wherever they could find them?

By the way, killing does solve things. It worked wonders ending WWII and saving the Jewish population. It was a marvelous technique when it was used to expel Iraq from Kuwait. And Israel found it usefull against their Arab neighbors when they were threatened with extinction three times. The correct way to say it is, violence is not always the answer.

Sorry i dont think Im answering your questions well, it just makes me wonder why when Muslims go to other places, their Koran are not confiscated and they are not imprisoned. But bible in their countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia...etc) are confiscated and you get a chance to be imprisoned as well. Bible studies are raided and most of the time goes underground.
One time, on our trip to Asia, we were having the stopover in Doha, my friend said that I better not bring a bible with me.....
