My boyfriend of 2yrs just broke up with me, but he says he still has feelings fro me. what should i do?

My boyfriend and I broke up after 2 years. we both still have feelings for eachother. we both still have feelings for each other but we still have things we need to work on as "just friends". It's wierd because he still treats me kindly and the same way he did when we were together. i don't know what to do. my heart broke when he said we should break it off for now i don't know what to do. we both still have feelings for eachother, but should we work on the things that split us up as friends or should i break it off completely?

Well...If you both still have feelings after two years, it's obvious that the two of you have something special. I think you should definitely work on the things as "just friends"..then talk about getting back together. It sounds like the two of you had something wonderful, that you shouldn't just let go of. You have to wonder if he still has feelings for you why did he break up with you? There is alot of missing peices in this story.It is possible that after 2 years that he wants to pursue other relationships but, he is probably a little worried about not having that stability. I would suggest that the two of you talk about this stuff and either be together or not. I can tell you from experience that the "just freinds" thing after a long term relationship usualy doesn't work. It's very confusing and someone almost always ends up getting hurt more in the end than if you had just broken it off.
