the way i would do it is write him a note that says something like.
hey boy whats up? im good how are you? so how ya been? i have been thinking alot lately and i was wondering how you felt about me because i like you alot and i was hoping you liked me too.
try that it works for me

become friends.. things will loosen up!! show him attention more so than any other boy you know!!! laugh at his jokes..compliement him!! make him see that your ''AWESOME''
in guys terms this is the best thing ever!!!!
eye contact!! make him go weak at the knees!!! smile alot!! always make him feel that he wants to talk to you sooner and eventually he will want more than just a friendship!!!
