God is proud of what he did for us?
What if you were in his shoes would you have died for others to live?

He knows death is only the first step in eternal life for us. Is he proud? I haven't had time to ask him that.
If I were God and knew what he knew, I would have to say I would do what he did. Nothing more, nothing less. To do otherwise would impose a limitation on him and that is not possible.

Jehovah God is proud of his son, Jesus for remaining loyal to him even to death, and Jesus is happy that he made his father proud. I would have tried to and would certainly hope that I would have died for others to live, but of course I'm imperfect so I don't know what I would do in a similar situation.

Proud is a word that carries many connotations. I believe that Christ did the mission He came to earth to perform. He and only He could have accomplished this wonderful gift to all mankind. No I do not believe I have the courage, strength, knowledge or ability to have done what the Lord did for us. I do believe that in some cases I would give my life so others could live, but not in the way Christ did and not for all mankind.

I would have had to, being that it's the natural cycle of life.

When did God die? Did he die with Jesus or later on?

No. I would have created a system in which I wouldn't have to die.
