He says he likes me, that I'm funny and all, we get along together, tease and flirt with each other, and he says we can hang out. However, he says he's not sure about dating because---
-he's new in college and works and has a lot going on. (that I can understand, I've been 18 and in those shoes before!)
-he's not sure of his intentions. (At least that's what I gathered...it was a confusing conversation...)
Anyone want to explain this further, or anyone got some advice? He says that later on we might have a chance, so I don't want to flirt with the guys at work and possible ruin things with him! (Did I mention we work together? The day after he gave me the "let's be friends" spill, he was very ill at ease seeming until he found out I wasn't mad or pouting with him...or seeming to be, anyways. I'm a heck of an actress, I guess.

Maybe he means what he says... perhaps he has too much going on in his life or is trying to focus on school, maybe he is under pressure to perform well. Anyway, take the hint! Be a friend. All of my truly good relationships started out as friendships first.

Go ahead and flirt with other guys at work. Don't miss on opportunity! There's nothing to ruin with him (the guy who just told you that there's too much going on in his life now). Don't flatter him too much by "waiting" (for nothing, really).

well my dear. in a very nice laid back manner he is letting you down easy. he doesn't want to be involved with you right now. he doesn't want to just come and say anything abrasive to you because he doesn't want to burn any bridges with you. your not that important to him. so don't feel bad about flirting with other guys. this guy won't care because his focus is elsewhere. i know this becuz i've been thru it.
