that people want to be so rude on this forum? I asked a harmless question, wanting to know what the Pagan people here are going to do for Yule this year. Two-thirds of the answers were nothing but rudeness and mocking and bigotry.

Most every Pagan on this forum is decent to the rest of the participants, in fact, I see more hate coming from those of other so-called loving religions. I didn't do anything to any of you. I'm usually very polite to everyone, and so are most Pagans. All I was doing was asking a question. So why the rudeness?

Birdlady, a Pagan is one who worships a dual God that is existant in nature.

I as a Christian, apologize for the ignorance of my fellow brothers and sisters. MESSAGE FOR CHRISTIANS: we are to inform, not be judges or to be rude and insincere. Did you all forget that even Christ ate supper with sinners, and even saved a prostitutes life? Did you forget that Jesus said that we who judge will be judged also and with the same measures we used?? Remember we are His light, we're suppose to be examples.

Who is a Pagan? Are you one of them?

Push any animal into a corner and it will strike back, even as your message is worded.

Your question implies that anyone not Christian (Those that celebrate Christs Birthday) are beneath you!

What response did you think that you would get from the world?

Now you write,"Most every PAGAN" , do you know any, so called PAGANS? Where do they live? Your original question is RUDE and thoughtless? How would you feel if your question had your question been put to you? .i.e. "What are all you Jesus Christ people going to do this Christmas since, you are not allowed to say, "Merry Christmas, you have to say Happy Holiday, too, if you are seen praying to your GOD, in many of your places, they might put you in Jail?"

Too, In Christan Bible, Jesus Calls all Christians to love,
but in truth, you divide yourselves into RACES and each race
treats the other with disrespect and out right hatred, just because of the way they look! You even carry that insanity to other countries! Did you use the word PAGAN?

Don't take the rudeness to heart. It was only from a handful of obvious belittlers. You got four thumbs-up and lots of respectful responses. That's more than many equally legitimate questions get.

Wishing you a Blessed Yule.

I've seen rudeness in atheists, pagans, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. Those people are usually a minority, and they often make up new names to spread their hate further... dishonest in how they present themselves so they may not even be of the religion they claim.

Do not assume that it is a reflection of an entire group. That would be a false stereotype. Some people come on here just to stir up trouble. They have mental disorders (in my opinion) that makes them need attention, and this is their method of getting that attention.

Usually, it is best to ignore them as you would ignore a child having a tantrum so they will learn that it does not get them the attention they want. The rest is in God's hands.

Talk to people who can respect others, even in a difference of opinion. :o)

God Bless,

Sue

Yes, those so-called loving religions live up to their names.

I'd just try to brush it off, and don't suffer fools gladly. I'm surprised you haven't been asked why Pagans go to R&S, because it's about religion. Don't worry about it. Their self-loathing will probably knock a few years off their lives eventually, to the benefit of everyone.

(See, that felt good, didn't it?!)

And Happy Holidays, of course. Don't miss a chance to tell them that every time they put up a tree or candles or have special festive food or drink, or a yule log, they're joining you in your Pagan festival, and that you consider them welcome. Drives them nuts.

The rudeness is in open defiance of thier own faith, especially for Christians, who should do as Paul did, and emphasize that the God of Christians is and always was, and always will be, above every other spiritual creation. Therefore, we pray to the Almighty and not a thing of creation.

Thus, I see that they must not understand love.

Don't let it bother you, sweetie. Pity their ignorance and show them how someone of faith SHOULD act through love, kindness and compassion. I did not see your question before but as a Christian Witch, this will be my first year celebrating both Yule and Christmas. I am very excited.

Blessed Be and Happy Holidays

I apologize for my fellow Christians. Most of us really are kind people (forums like Y!A seem to call out to those who are more full of themselves than full of God's love). I have experienced the same "don't ask about... or you'll burn in hell" answers when I ask about other religions.

I'm sorry people gave you a hard time on a legit question. Be happy knowing that you don't have the nasty disposition they do. Karma will get them eventually.

Peace
