If I even slightly knock myself I get severe pain. I was playing in the park with my son earlier and I gently banged my leg and the pain was so awful I had to stop and sit down. The pain lasted a few hours then I had a weak aching feeling over the area. This seems so strange, even the slightest thing causes pain. I am other wise fit and well and have a fairly high pain threshold. This has been going on a few months now . Any doctors out there that may be able to shed some light on this??

Hi Becky well if you still in pain i would advice you to go to your nearest A/E dept and let the Drs examine you.You may off not done nothing part from badly bruised or there always can be a slight hair line fracture.Get your self seen better to be safe then sorry. In the mean time try resting the leg when possible, take some pain relief, elevate the leg if you have swelling.Well Good Luck.

I can only add to the others, go to your doctor ASAP, or if they can't see you right away go up to your local A&E department, it needs emmiediate treatment.
