This is how I was raised, and I was like, um who cares, if you break up in a week.So I am right or wrong.

nope...im turning 14 within a month and thats definately fine...i dont have one either..
wayyy too many complications...and love will find a way either way...so y bother?

I'm 25 and there have been MANY times in my life through school and college when I thought having a boyfriend was a waste of my time. You are totally allowed to say what's right for you... so you're not right or wrong about it. You're you. I have a little sister who is your age who "gets her heart broken" monthly. I'm still waiting on her to adopt your attitude!

No you are not wrong at all, your still really young and im not much older, but be careful as someone who may really like you may get hurt along the way especially if you just dump them, think before and you have plenty of time for them, just concentrate on having fun as honestly your education is much more important and boys are just a distraction .Keep them as friends x

I`m kind of like that, but I wasn`t raised that way. I`ve just become that way through past relationships and seeing my friends in relationships. I love being in a relationship, it makes me feel good to know that someone likes me enough to actually want to be with me and only me, but I`m not ever crushed when I`m single. If I date someone for a pretty long time, I`m really sad at first... but I`m one of those people who knows that highschool relationships don`t usually last past highschool, so I try not to get too down about relationships and everything.
It isn`t wrong for you to think that way. You`re kind of protecting yourself from getting hurt, because you don`t seem to get too into relationships.

When I was 14 I had a boyfriend for a year and a half, and another one of my friends has had her boyfriend for 3 years and they started going out when they were 13. I don't think it's a waist of time.

well i don't really know but thats how i used to be i would go out with the guy and then break up with him because i would think it would be a waste of my time...but now that i met this special guy i am staying with him for as long as i can
so i guess you just have to find a guy that you actually care for
but since your 14 like me you should just have fun :] lol

It's dead-on right. There's no point in having a boyfriend at 14 (or at any age, for that matter, unless you want to breed). There are far more important things to worry about. Good for you.

you are so right, TRUST ME. boys that young are a waste of your time!! There are more important things at your age than boys. Focus your time on something that will make you sucessfull in life, like school, not boys. You have many more year ahead to worry about boy

There's nothing with you not having one right now,Sweeyie.I think its best you have casual friends, no need getting intimate with them at this point.You really sound like a bright person and i think putting your school work b4 bfs is much better than putting them first.All the same though it depends on your decision.Gudluck

im 14 and i think its a waste of time until you are thinking about getting married!! i do have a bf right now, but i cant wait to break up. then im single for a while!!!!!!
