there was an episode a few days ago. she said she was going to do something she'd never thought to do again, "Baking".
how is that so that she doesn't bake? i thought that's what she does on her Food Network, and Rachael Ray show.
I thought that's what she was famous for, cooking and "Baking".
she had to have some woman help her out. Rachael didn't seem to like having to bake a cake.
what do you think of that?

Baking is considered a specialty and is probably not her stronghold, cooking is her strong point.

There is a big difference between being a cook and being a baker. It's like Medicine. An Optometrist and an Oftalmologist are eye doctors but handle different issues. Rachel hates to bake because it's time consuming. She, is hiper!
When you go to school to be a chef you learn how to cook and bake. Some of these so called celebrities of the Food Network have never been to cooking school.

Actually its not that strange at all. Just because she has her own cooking show doesnt mean she can bake. Baking is in the cookies, cakes, and bread category. She is into other things. She likes to cook, not bake. Its kinda like saying that a hunter isnt a hunter if they dont hunt duck. Maybe they only like deer hunting. I like her and I like her show. I watch other shows if I want to see someone baking something. Or I use a cookbook. Its better to watch someone who is an expert on what you are interested in doing. We all have our areas of expertise. What's yours? I love crock pot cooking.

Kat H is the only one here with any sense.
No she does not bake on her show, her desserts are always ice cream. Ice cream with fruit, ice cream with nuts, ice cream with caramel. If she DOES use cake or cookies they are packaged/already made.
She can't cook either though. Her whole 30 Minunte Meals is a lie, it's been said over and over that most of her meals cannot be done in 30 minutes, hell even SHE has said it! Many people have also noticed her food being burnt or not done. I don't take issue with quick meals, I take issue with the fact she prepares them poorly and also doesn't practice/teach proper food safety, like using a knife to cut chicken then cut veggies for a salad without washing it.

rachel ray can cook on the stove like a dream. She makes great meals but is a self proclaimed failure at desserts that need baked. She has her mother come on to help her with the baking episodes.
I think it is great. I love Rachel Ray and am proud of her not being ashamed of her limitations.

Rachael Ray is HOT.
She is great at cooking on the stove, but baking is different, she's not into that.
Baking takes alot of time, she is famous for her 30 minute meals.

Easy, she cheats! She uses packaged baking mixes and store bought bake goods and doctors them up. She says she doesn't measure anything, so she's got a hang up about whipping up some cookies.

Hard not to say "Too much too soon". Though she seems so unaffected and natural. Did u know here in Australia a "bindi" is a painful grass thorn that sticks in ur feet?
