i am old fashioned in a way. i think men should respect women the way they used to. open doors, pay on dates, the whole nine yards. but i like to spoil my man as well as him spoiling me.

No.
I think that in this day and age where we want equality, then we should act like it -- always. I think that if he wants to pick up the tab sometimes, that's great! But then I can pick up the next one, and in most cases, it should be 50/50.
the man paying is an old custom that started when women didn't have jobs (or were paid considerably less) and the man was "showing" her that he could "support" them. This is not the case for most people now.

No, I'm not. It makes me uncomfortable to have the guy always pay. I like to split the bills or pay my own way. I think it's silly now that most men and women work that people would still think that it's appropriate for the man to pay the way.

No, men shouldn't always pay. That'd be so expensive if a guy had to pay everytime we went out!
My boyfriend makes more money than me so he does tend to pay more often, but I definitely try to even it out as much as I can.

I`ve only ever had a guy pay for me one time. I`ve gotten used to the fact that I should pay for myself... but the one time someone paid for me, I was extremely flattered. I think that if the girl invites the guy somewhere, they should pay for themselves... but if a guy asks a girl somewhere, I think it seems more like he should pay. But I wouldn`t get angry if a guy didn`t pay for me, just because that kind of stuff isn`t at all important to me. If I accepted the date, it`s because I wanted to be with that person, not because I wanted a free meal or movie out of it.

No. Way back when, it was the norm because usually most men worked and women didn't or didn't make as much money. Now things are so much more even that there's nothing wrong with the woman picking up the tab every now and then.

Ugh — no. I believe in total relationship equality. If the man doesn't agree to pay his share only, he'll never see my face again. I can afford a meal. I'm no weakling, and I don't deserve to be treated like one.

No, I think it's 50/50. This time is mine, next time will be his. UNLESS he insists on taking me out for something and it's his idea then he'll pay for it, and the same for me.
