A few things forgot to mention to help with the decision. At first I told him I wasn't sure about coming there since he didn't call for 2 weeks and he said well I guess I'm just going to have to fly out to see you. He has given me his phone number and business card with phone and email address. We would be staying at his house. The reason he wants me to come there is he wants to show me around North Carolina and we might drive up to Atlanta. I'm not scared of him he's a professional very nice guy. The only thing is he makes a lot of money why would he not offer to fly me out? I have never flown out to meet a guy before not that there is something wrong with it it's just the holidays and expensive. Please give advice.

Well first of all, how long do you know this guy? Just because he gave you his phone number, e-mail, or business card doesn't mean you can trust the guy. If you know him for more than 1yr. and some months i think it's ok to go...but if you've met him only for several months...well let's just say i wouldn't trust him. And if he says he makes a lot of money, how come he didn't go to your place?

A gentleman would fly out to see you -- and he would do so at his own expense. Already I see reason for suspicion.
Another thing; separating the victim from her support network -- getting her away from friends and family, getting her out of familiar surroundings, etc. -- is classic abuser behavior. Seems to me like this guy is up to no good. I advise you not to go.

Just explain to him that you do not have the funds to fly to see him, because of Christmas expenses and if he really wants to see you, he will pay for you to get there...

Whether he offered to pay or not it is very dangerous to meet people on the internet!!! If you do go I wouldn't stay with him and only meet in public places.

dont buy your ticket yet, check this guy out some more, there are a lot of creeps online.If everything he claims to be was so, even a moderatly succesfull businessman could afford to buy you a planeticket.
