One of my friends asked him out for me today and he said yes he would if he wasn't dating somebody else. One person said he was dating someone else, the other said he wasn't. Is that good or bad? I know i should ask him myself, but it's really hard if you're as shy as I am. What should I do?

I know it`s hard to ask someone out, but you really ought to do it face-to-face, not through a friend. If any major flaws were made, it was that. If he`s lying, he`s a waste of time... but if he`s telling the truth, then he might actually like you. Either way, lying or not, don`t try to get with him. If he`s single but just doesn`t want to date you, you`ll just end up looking stupid... and if he`s got a girlfriend, you shouldn`t get in the way anyway. So try to find someone else. Either way, this guy seems off limits.

if you have friends do you talking chinese whispers can happen.
i suggest talking to him, either approach him in person or by email or text if you can chat one time, since your a little shy. but wouldn't you just rather know yourself for sure?? worst case he isn't seeing someone and he isn't interested, they are alot more men out there and i know you really like him but you'll find someone else i promise!

He's not into you. If he really liked you, he wouldn't be dating anybody else but you.
You might be shy, but you shouldn't have to doubt if a guy likes you or not.
