For the past couple years I've had really dry cracked painful skin on my heels & nothing works to get rid of it...not cotton socks, not vaseline, not a pumice stone, not lotion, nothing! I try all of those & it's back w/in a week. How do I get rid of it. Also, I used to be very overweight & after I lost a lot of it(a LOT) theres extra skin that I cant afford to get removed. Well, on the underside of it between where it is & where it oughta be, it gets red, chafed & SORE, like burning & stinging.....how do I make it go away & stay away for good?Sorry if this grosses anyone out & yes I do have a doc appt. , but in the meantime I need help!

The dry skin on the tendons on the back of your feet can be fixed and the itching can be stopped with a 2% hydrocortizone cream...see a podiatrist. As for the red rash, honey, it's caused by perspiration and, if it's affecting your health, you should talk to your doctor and see if it's medically necessary to have the skin tightened - if you can get your doctor to state it, the insurance has to pay it.

Think of yourself as a string puppet. pretend your being dragged all the place. but its you that has to see the light. I mean your pain, frustration, your insecurities, are all in your head. So if you wanna forget everything else? and go? then your not dealing with your own thoughts, your emotions are getting the best of you. Now quit being a such a baby!

Listen to Suzi S.

Another thing I do for the feet is the pumice stone you mentioned - only you have to keep up on it every day.

Try Vick's VaporRub for your feet. Apply it at night and put socks on.

For the skin, try cornstarch. Shower every day, dry up well, and dust with cornstarch.

Best of luck. I hope you'll feel better soon.

For your feet:

Zim's Crack Creme:

Udderly Smooth:

For your skin folds:

Boudreaux's Butt Paste:

Also after cleaning your skin dry it very well and use a combination of 1% Hydrocortisone cream and Polysporin.
Polysporin is much more effective than neosporin.

I wish you well.

Its a fungus in the same family as athlete's foot. Any of those types of creams should help. If its persistant and gets worse you should see a doctor for additional assistance.

Here's a link to the product that I used to cure the problem.

Insurance should pay for this since it's not cosmetic anymore and causing you pain. Try powder???
