According to the beliefs of Creationist though mankind was created as the pinnacle of Gods handy work, either through outright creation (Adam and Eve) or from a guided ‘intelligent design’ idea, however the design of humans is not partially intelligent:
*Tailbones, now we all have tailbones, but not tails; if we didn’t evolve from Monkeys, please explain where these came from? Why would an all mighty creator bother to leave in a painful and useless piece on the human body?
*Appendix; unless you’ve had it removed we’ve also, all got one. Has no purpose in the human body (Rabbits love them – strange link there?) in fact it causes many deaths each year, from a painful and deadly condition; the inflammation of the appendix
*during the embryo stage of child development the embryo develops numerous features that are completely useless, and some a little more useful, such as gills – drowning would be a much less major affair if human kind had gills, but they disappear; unlike in fish – link to a common ancestor?
*childbirth – it hurts (I don’t know it personally, mainly because I’m male) why would an almighty creator make childbirth painful? It seems a tad stupid to make something that could bring new life (and followers) into the world a painful experience, and as a punishment is just wrong.
*disease – why make us susceptible from disease, AIDS only affects humans, why? Surely if an almighty creator could control or produce disease he (or she) would direct it away from the chosen species.

All answers appreciated, but please don’t just say “because the bible says so” or something else pretty empty

Thankyou

The Tailbone actually connects to some muscles as I recall.

*Appendix; unless you’ve had it removed we’ve also, all got one. Has no purpose in the human body (Rabbits love them – strange link there?) in fact it causes many deaths each year, from a painful and deadly condition; the inflammation of the appendix

In the creationist world view, I do not know. [I'm not a creationist]

*during the embryo stage of child development the embryo develops numerous features that are completely useless, and some a little more useful, such as gills – drowning would be a much less major affair if human kind had gills, but they disappear; unlike in fish – link to a common ancestor?

I constantly see this one. They fall back on some argument about how the first embryonic drawings were fabricated, ignoring the fact we have fixed that.

*childbirth – it hurts (I don’t know it personally, mainly because I’m male) why would an almighty creator make childbirth painful? It seems a tad stupid to make something that could bring new life (and followers) into the world a painful experience, and as a punishment is just wrong.

Being as how woman brought man sin, God cursed her by making it hurt. Yeah, kinda dumb.

*disease – why make us susceptible from disease, AIDS only affects humans, why? Surely if an almighty creator could control or produce disease he (or she) would direct it away from the chosen species.

They would probably say something about punishemnt, or Satan's working. Standard issue, ya know?

I answered a similar question here today, so I'll just repeat my answer:

Intelligent Design explains all of your questions, from a Christian perspective.

I think that science is a great thing...it's good to be curious about the physical world. But I choose to believe, as is my right, that any scientific discoveries and explanations for natural phenomena occur by the grace of God...I believe that He orchestrated the process of evolution (if it exists, which has not been proven, in my opinion) and adaptation, and that in His infinite wisdom, created life forms that can "change with time", just as the strongest skyscrapers are the ones that can bend with the wind.
I know that I will be attacked for believing in this, for which the term has been coined as "Intelligent Design", but that doesn't bother me. I know that it is the truth, and shall continue to believe it to be the truth unless and until God tells us otherwise. Those who disagree should respect my beliefs. It's funny how those who view themselves as the most open-minded type of people many times are the ones who say the ugliest things to those who believe differently from them.

BTW, just to pick out one of your sub-questions, why childbirth is painful. First point: Sorry to disappoint you, but because the Bible says that it is the result of woman's original sin. In the vein if Intelligent Design, pain and the resulting ruckus the woman makes may be a biological way to signal to others around the woman that "hey, this is a serious event, and I need as much help as you can give me. Now get me some ice chips!"
God is great. Tell the good news to everyone you know! :-)

you need to study more
that tail bone helps with our balance.
our appendix is actually a huge nymph gland, it helps with resistance to sickness.
an embryo never develops gills, I've seen scans of my daughter before birth and guess what? no gills.
and it doesn't matter if you think pain for childbirth is wrong of not that's what happened due to sin.
Romans speaks of Aids and other stds as a direct result of homosexuality again another side affect of sin.

If you want to call my answers empty, then so be it. That's a cop out for you to reject that what we say just may be the truth.

To start with, your odds of getting AIDS are extremely low if you behave as God asked in the Bible.
Pain in childbirth is proof that God exists. Other animals just pop the babies out and go on grazing like it was nothing.
As for evolution, God created it so that the animals and plants God created could change with their changing environment and survive. And the Bible does say that God created the other animals before he created humans, so why would it surprise you that He would use parts of other things he created when He made us? Do not all designers base their work on previous designs?

I was able to recognize by the time I was eight years old that science could not be reconciled with the bible, and since science is obviously right (it works!), the bible had to go. Evolution is now a proven fact, which is interesting because most scientific theories are not provable. (I checked out the web site that responder Gary mentioned, it is stupid and useless.) That said, I don't think that the things you cite are as determinative of the case as some of the more positive evidence available. But, with evolution now proven correct, attacks against it are simply idle speculation and a waste of time.

Postscript. about "intelligent design". This theory is useless because it has no demonstrable consequences.

Well, I don't know how it would fit into creationism, but if an embryo were to develop gills, they'd be removed because said gills require a certain amount of "developmental energy" that is just more effeciently placed elsewhere.

I like the way you call things useless when simply we do not know the use to of them. Sience has only come so far and does not have all the answers, desipite popular opinion. So when the medical sience says that that list of things makes us imperfect or useless doesent make it true.

Plenty of evidence AGAINST EVOLUTION:.
First, the 'Cambrian explosion'; the millions of fossil types in Cambrian rock (oldest fossil bearing rocks) appear suddenly and fully formed and without any previous forms...IOW, there are no transitional forms.

Most well educated evolutionists when forced to ...will admit it, but very unwillingly, and even then they always want to seem to make new excuses for it. Usually they just don't say anything about it and hope noone finds out.

"From the beginning of the Creation God made them male and female..."-- Jesus (Mk. 10:6)

" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host by the breath of His mouth. For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:9)

Most real science confirms the Bible. See here: http://everystudent.com/forum/science.html
