Ok im a 13 year old,
Yeasturday me and my big sister were bickering about the computer and my gramma took her side and called my uncle. He came over, grabed me, slamed me into the wall, poped my right arm out of the socket and threw me outside in 18 degrees out and snowing. At school today i wanted ice so i asked my councler and he asked what happened and i told him. We told our county's children services. Now EVERYONE on my mom's side of the family is really mad at me.

Did I do the right thing?

yes you did the right thing but fanilly think that those things should be kept seceret and the fact the you told makes them mad. which is stupid cuz I think they should be glad your safe but no they are only thinking of your uncle and whats going to happen to him.

Yes, you did. They are wrong for being mad at the messenger (you) and not the offender (your uncle). He did the abusing and you did what you are suppose to - report it. Your guardians should be proud that you spoke up and mad at your uncle for abusing you!

How would they feel if a non-family member abused you and you did not report it?

yes, you did the right thing. Its not your fault that he did that to you and all siblings are going to argue. Just know that it was for the best and just think if you you didnt tell, what else would he of done to you in the future??

Anyone who would abuse a child like that has no business being near one. This just goes to show you that family doesn't always know what is best for you or even themselves. You were definitely right in telling someone.

yes you did the right thing. you shouldnt be abused. abuse is different from discipline. it is hard for you at this age but some have to grow up more quickly and harder than others.

Why would they hurt you like that? Yes, you did the right thing. Kids should not be treated like that.

Yes, you did the right thing. Although you don't state what the argument was really about, nothing is bad enough that physical force should have been used.
