Hebrews 12:1 states, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses..." Some understand the "cloud of witnesses" as being people looking down on us from Heaven. That is not the correct interpretation. Hebrews chapter 11 records many people whom God commended for their faith. It is these people who are the "cloud of witnesses." They are "witnesses" not in that they are watching us, but rather in that they have set an example for us...they are witnesses for Christ, and God, and truth. Hebrews 12:1 continues, "...let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
The Bible does not specifically say whether people can look down on us who are still on the earth. It is highly likely that they cannot. Why? One, they would sometimes witness us sinning. Two, they would sometimes see things that would cause them grief. Three, people in heaven are so occupied with worshipping God and enjoying the glories of Heaven that they truly have no interest in what is happening here on earth. The very fact that they are free from sin, in heaven, and in God’s presence is enough for them to be happy. While it is possible that God allows people in heaven to look down upon their loved ones, the Bible gives us no reason to believe this actually occurs.

I have a better question. If you do goto heaven will you really be able to look down at everyone in hell and think that it is ok that some of your loved ones are down there suffering for all of time....and there is NOTHING you can do about it because your loving and forgiving god has already passed judgement on them? How then will you feel when you see this?

Yes, the saints (all those who have been made perfect) can hear us, at least.
In Rev. 5:8 St. John depicts the saints in heaven offering our prayers to God under the form of "golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints." But if the saints in heaven are offering our prayers to God, then they must be aware of our prayer.s They are are aware of out petitions and present them to God by interceding for us.

I don't think anyone has an answer to that questiong despite what ever people might say. The spiritual relm talked about in the bible is so castly different then our world that its impossible to know if you will see things on earth as you say.

If heaven is gonna' be any good,
they'll need to import some people from hell to make it fun.
It's not that I don't love my grandmother- but the last thing I want to do in the world is spend eternity with her.
(fortunately- I don't believe in such silly stuff)

When it is your time to meet the Lord all your love ones comes with Jesus to get us..sorrow is a sin..sorrow should not be in us for or passed ones.why they are with the Lord..No because they live own in our hearts and mind and they know no sorrow and cant see Sin and sorrow any more..what are passed love one has left us their knowledge and love and all that they taught us is all we have until me meet again..But we can fill them in our life's and thoughts and around us only because we put them their...its a comfort zone for us all...I believe that if it is all good then its us mentally connecting to them....and the love that we all so much miss...that we once got from them..But be patience for we will all meet again..Just hold love in your mind and your heart and you will find Jesus because that is what he is all about....And to find Him you have to have it,,,God bless you And Merry Christmas

I'll never look back unless I'm told to do so.
We will have a ringside seat for the tribulation period, though.

Depends on your outlook. No one can really know for sure. Personally I believe that the spirit world is all around us. Look inside yourself, to a point, all that matters is what you believe.
