I have justadopted an eight week old jack russel mix , he is all white, with light spots on his ears. I am trying to pick out a new that suits both his color and Chritmas since he is my Christmas gift. I havecame up with Mr. Kringle, Noel, Navidad, any help would be good thanks.

I've got JRTs and do russell rescue and I've always found the best way to name them is do like someone else suggested and get to know them and their personality. Once you know them better, a name will hit you and you will find that it fits like a glove. Many of the dogs we see are named Jack and JR, so I would steer clear of anything like that.

A really cute name that I heard awhile back that I thought would be a great JRT name was Flapjack. Another name I thought of recently was Keebler cause one of my dogs has the nickname Elf because she has a way of holding her ears that makes her look very elfish.

Most important thing in naming, have fun with it.

I like Navidad. You could go with, Star, Jesus (pronounced hay-zus), Bell, Angel, Gabriel (the angel that came down to the wise men, I think) Let me know what you decide.

I think you should choose the name that best suits you and your new pup! I'm thinking I like Mr Kringle! Call him Kris for short!
And Enjoy him!

My cousin had an Akita puppy for 6 months and could not decide on a name. He finally ended up calling it “Hay You”. He would pronounce it really quick “hayyou” and people thought it was some sort of foreign name.
