To get what you want, sometimes it is better to let go completely rather than strive so hard you defeat your own purpose with your negative fears and anxieties.

The best way to use prayer/meditation is inwardly to focus on letting go and forgiving the past that makes us afraid or anxious, and preparing oneself to receive; NOT to wish outwardly for certain events which creates a false sense of dependence on things outside yourself. That will constantly keep you anxious, uncertain, and unhappy; where even if you do receive what you want, you will continue the same way, wishing and worrying.

If you change your perspective to thankfulness in all things, instead of conditioned happiness, you (1) attract the things you want to come into your life by making room for them instead of pushing them away by striving too hard with fear and negative worries (2) you free yourself from unnecessary anxiety and stress, which again merely attracts more negative thought and energy in your life.

As you work from within to let go of negative thoughts and fears and focus on positive things to be thankful for, you will, in the process, improve your perception, intuition and wisdom so you can better see what steps to take to fulfill your vision and purpose in life. The point is not to will things out of negative strain, which tends to backfire and make us miserable, but to receive good things that life has to offer by maintaining positive thoughts and energy which attracts more of the same.

what are you talking about? i suggest praying and talking to god. he hears you and if he doesn't answer the way you want him to, it's for the best!
