He likes when we eat from the same bowl, drink from the same jam jar and share the same bathwater. He wears any of my things that he thinks he can get away with and he makes us walk miles looking for bargain books, clothes, food etc.
Is this nothing more than romantic gestures or is he a total skinflint?

Rem ... ok .. I should have mentioned that he prefers if I am in the bathwater with him. Does that make a difference?

Yep, the stuff is for both of us and he makes the food - enough for two - and he does wash my back! Perhaps he is just eccentric?

It could be a little of both. Sharing things can be very romantic, but it can be taken too far. Are you sharing a meal for one, or is there enough food, he just prefers to eat what you have?
Taking a bath together is very sexy, and even if you don't have sex, it can be sexually satisfing for him, just to be naked with you. Does he make you wash your own back,, or does he do it?
Looking for a bargin is not a bad thing, but can be taken to extreme. I've done it a few times. I found something I wanted, but thought the price was to high, so I spend hours going to different stores trying to find the same thing, only cheaper. I almost never do, and end up back at the very first store I started in. Are these 'bargin' items for you or for him? Maybe he's saving money on his stuff, so he can afford to buy you things.

He not only sounds like Scrooge but he is totally disgusting. Unless you are very happy with the relationship, you should consider a boyfriend who might actually drive a car and take his own shower with fresh new bathwater.

Your bf is weird and cheap. Saving money is good but use the same bathwater?!!? That's just ridiculous.

It sounds as if he wants to be you, and is jealous of you- and if so, he may not be the best catch for you... because these kind of relationships always end with someonegetting hurt... YOU. Because you were never giving enough attention. I could be wrong, though. I don't know the situation. But bath WATER?

The first part is romantic; same bowl, drink from same glass, bath together... But sounds a little excessive...
But wearing your clothes and make you walk miles for bargin books, clothes, and food is really cheap!!!!
Ditch him for a guy that will spoil you the way you deserve!!!!
Good luck!!!
