As JoJot001 said, it depends on the wall color. Also, is the sofa a solid blue? If there really is no wall color and the sofa is pretty much solid, then try a window treatment that has a pattern in it with the same shade of blue as your sofa. Pattern will add texture and interest to the room.
Then you can take another color that is in the pattern of the window treatment and bring that to the wall and even to the throw pillows.
If the sofa has a pattern with another color in it, then choose a window treatment using that other color.
If possible whatever window treatment you go for, try to find pillows in the same fabric to 'marry' the sofa and window together.

it depends on your wall color, but if you really want to make it a bold statement, use light colors on the walls(creams and such) and bright colors for the curtains and other accents throughout the room. Like for example: If you painted your walls a light yellow, you could put golden curtains.

I like the red idea a lot but light blue or medium blue wouldn't be bad either. If you keep them a solid color you can accent with other colors and prints pillows and stuff. Orange is the complimentary color if you are into orange or rust colors.

I would do like a sheer gray and blue combo...
here's a link to a retail site that has something that would go great with dark blue furniture
