Oh man I know what your talking about! It happens to me occasionally. The only common factor I can come up with is that it happens when I am stressed out. I haven't found a cure although not thinking about it helps. Good luck.

Are you a diabetic or have a family history of it? I a, diabetic and when my blood sugars were not under good control my eye lids twitched several times a day.

That is called a "tic", a common uncontrollable twitching of the muscle. It is kind of like a hiccup.

Take TUMS or calcium soft chews, take about four of them in as short a period of time you can choke them down. I think you will find it will ease up or stop within about 20 minutes.

Don't you hate that when that happens? i don't know how to stop it but sometimes it will do that all day long. no matter how much i rub it, it won't stop. i think it is just a muscle that keeps spazzing...
