I have a two year old in day care and I'm not sure but I think I keep getting sick from him. It doesn't seem to bother him as much but I fell horrible and I can't keep taking off work but I feel really bad. Actually one of my co-workers said it might be sinus problems not a cold but I can't tell the difference. I have a stopped up & runny nose, sneezing, and it hurts around eyes and head. Help please.

You might want to start taking Airborne. They're large tablets you drop in water like Alka-selter. They help raise your immune system so you don't get sick as fast or sometimes block certian sicknesses from invading.

You also might want to take some Zicam. You can purchase it in any store almost. It's a clear gel on a plastic spoon. You can either take it right off the spoon or mix it in a drink (Though I always take it off the spoon). It's an excellet forumla to help stop a sickness in it's tracks. Taking both of those should really help you. :)

Sounds like you have a 'real' rhinovirus, or 'cold'. This can give you sinusitis and that is what you are describing. The rhinovirus family contains more than 200 known viruses. The symptoms will last up to six weeks, although 10 days is most common. Because there are so many types of virus, and you can 'catch' each one, it seems that the 'common cold' will be with humanity as long as we exist. You can drink more fluid, especially water, and that will loosen the secretions. A moist environment will help ease the stuffiness. We send our children into the 'germ pools' and the germs come home with them. Since having a two year old learn to not touch his face is impossible, it is just a 'fact of life'. You may want to see your Doctor for a referral to a ENT specialist.

Take a good quality multiple vitamin with minerals daily and 1000 mg of vitamin C with bioflavinoids 3 times daily.
At the first sign of a tickly or scratchy throat take Cold-Eeze lozenges as directed, and start taking Echinacea herb until the cold symptoms are gone. Gargling Listerene at the first sign of a cold is also helpful. Drink plenty of water too. Good luck!

It is quite likely that you have developed a sinus infection, time to see the doctor, get on some antibiotics. The antibiotics that treat sinus infections are also likely to predispose to yeast infection, so take the steps to avoid that complication, if possible.

It sounds like a sinus infection. I had my first one ever last year and it took two rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. I was comepletely miserable.
