Natural selection (survival of the fittest) is different from evolution, or rather is a part of it. Economically, this translates to capitalism, which in a free society has been proven time and again the most effective.
Many fewer people have a problem with natural selection than evolution.
I will pose a question back to you. If the American left believes in natural selection, why will it not let species due to become extinct die out?

The natural animal world is not the world of human beings. American values and the capitalist system are based on the concept of free will and self-determination...you know, the pursuit of happiness? Human beings, by their very nature, do not respond well to being GIVEN all things...we need to work for our bread and butter to feel worthy of it...you know, "sense of accomplishment and self-sufficiency" and all. Besides, countries that run a communist or socialist system end up with everyone sitting around on their butts waiting for a handout. There is no incentive for innovation, no self-worth, no reason to get out of bed in the morning. As a result, everyone ends up starving while standing in bread lines.
America generally does not operate on the theory of "survival of the fittest", despite your assertion...for all the rhetoric, we still take care, at the basic level, most of those who need assistance. It is just not a favor to others to do EVERYTHING for them.
If you give a man a fish, he will be fed that day. If you teach a man to fish, he will be fed for the whole of his life.
The only exception to my statement, in my opinion, is the unreserved slaughter of millions of innocent and utterly defenseless unborn American babies, but rest assured that it will soon change, by the grace of God.
God bless.

First, Darwin was a christian. And the workers support all those who do not work, so what is that survival of the fitest. I spent 5 hours in the emergency room of a hospital yesterday, and even though I paid my bills, I saw a bunch of people there who likely would not. What do you mean survival of the fitest. It looks like the fitest has to produce food and clothing for all those who want something for nothing.

In fairness, the philosophy of free-market economics came along before evolution by natural selection was realised (eg. Adam Smith - The Wealth of Nations, 1776) and was in fact, a stepping stone to realising evolution by natural selection. So they're part way there... maybe eventually they will catch up.

Christians & Creationists believe in survival of the fittest, and natural selection.
*Creationists* do not believe in species to species evolution
Note: Not all Creationists are Christians, Not all Christians are Creationists
Economics and Evolution are completely different topics, making an analogy between them does not make them the same.

That is stupid, and you twist everything to make any answer a Christian give to be wrong.
Evolution is a joke, Darwin put all these words to paper without any facts at all to back it all. Anything based on Darwin is based on a farce. Evolutionists say whales used to have legs, then why is there not even one skeletal remain of any whale having even one leg let alone two?

Because they do believe in evolution. All their public stances are play acting to get votes for the dictatorship of the rich and their spawn, the Sperm Bingo winners. This way they can get support from people who have little money--the inbred, Bible-banging, fantasy-drugged hillbilly trailer-park trash.

That's true actually - if the companies don't change, they typically get eaten. Hrmmm.
I think Jesus was a communist, so that would probably make followers of him also communists.

You are very highly confused and obviously a very weak link in the chain of humanity. Better watch out for those whom you think don't believe in evolution.
