Yes, about a thousand times. But you didn't see all the answers so I'll give you one that I hope will give you some in site, Religion is a practice of a set of rules laid down by a group of people in order to control another group. I don't believe in it's practice. I do believe that Jesus Christ is my savior and my Lord. This is a relationship I have with Him. The only rule He has given me is to trust in Him. I do that with full faith that He is God and I am His child. I also want to follow Him as closely as possible so I read the teachings He left me with I converse with Him. He communicates back to me thru His recorded word. Is there a "True Religion" I don't think so. Just a loving and Living God who want to make us His... Jim

Since all religion require the member to do something then I have no religion. Gace is when God has done something for you and all you have to do is believe and trust in what He did for you. The Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. He did it all and He offers salvation to all that believe. Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

It is impossible, by definition, for all of the monotheistic religions in this world to all be true.
Therefore, the majority of them are without a doubt, false, by default.
So that means that only a small minority of the world get to go to heaven, and the rest of us will burn in hell.
But I think it's far more likely, seeing as how we know the shady origins of all of these religions... that they are ALL wrong.
The question one must ask then is... if they're all wrong, then what will my system of beliefs be?
Welcome to agnosticism.
Atheism is just a few hours thought, down the hall.

I don't, not in the sense that it is the ONLY true religion.
I couldn't possibly believe that. I'm Pagan.
Since as a Pagan I look to the natural world for an understanding of the Divine, and I notice that there isn't just one "true' way to be a flower or a tree or a stone or a stream or a dog or a bird...how then could I believe that there's only one true way to understand the Divine?

All religions I know have a lot of truth. I think we all agree with the basics like the 10 commandments and how important they are to society, and they really are. It would be a perfect society if no one lied, stole, killed, hurt, committed adultry, drugs etc. We would not have these high insurance rates, could have almost no police, Would not have to pay for all the people in prison. The unwed mother problem would be solved, most of which end up on welfare. Wow, I can feel my pocket book getting thicker by the minute.

I know my religion is true because I prayed and asked God if it was. I was given an answer to my sincere questions because I had faith I would receive one.
I know some people are skeptical and will say I wanted it to be true, but it was quite the opposite. But I got a feeling I couldn't deny.

None and yet all. I think its true if you want it to be. Religion helps a lot of people get through this life from people doing time in jail to the reformed crack head. some people need a push and religion seems to be the answer. So if the religion you pratice gives you that boost of empowerment and doesn't scare you into believeing it, i think thats as close to true religion as you'll get : )

Does it teach anything negative about non-believers? Does it command evil actions, or has the deity in question commanded evil actions in the past? Does it put anything ahead of or in place of decency and kindness? Can non-believers be 'saved' without converting? Does it contradict everyday common knowledge (i.e. says sun goes around earth instead of visa-versa)? If it fails any of these tests, it is not the true religion (although it may contain elements of truth).

This is a very difficult question, but it can be broken easily enough.
First, we break of the "establishment" and understand that you are the temple.
Then, you remember to love your God with your whole being.
Then, you remember that because God loves you, you are worthy of love, and love you neighbors in the same way.
That is the basis of religion. All true religion.

Because it's been vindicated by multiple venues: history, science, archeology, prophecy and more. It's called Christianity.
Read about the 68,000,000 protestants murdered by the Catholic Church for their beliefs during the Dark Ages and tell me Jesus Christ isn't real. Read about the history of Israel and tell me that the God of the Bible doesn't fight their battles for them. Read about all of the miracles performed through Christians through the ages, including the last century. Read about all of the times archaeologists have been made fools of after criticizing the accuracy of scripture only to find out later it was right.
I don't know how you could believe anything else.
