(I just met my bf's family members, all living in the same house with my boyfriend. I am only 18 and still going to college. I don't want to be too cheap, and not too expensive)

What should I get for?
1.) his grandma (early 70s)

2.) his grandpa (late 70s)

3.) aunt (33 years old)

4.) uncle (35 years old)

5.) baby sister (3 years old)

6.) niece (10-13 years old)

7.) nephew (11-12 years old)

The point of the Holidays is not to go broke! You're 18 and in college and I don't think anyone expects you to buy something for everyone. If you can find something nice and cheap for each person, go for it! Otherwise maybe buy a centerpiece for the dinner table, or make cookies that everyone can share. Trust me, they will be touched by your thoughtfulness.

For the kids, I'd get them each a little toy. Christmas means the most to them. For the Aunt/Uncle and Grandma/Grandpa I'd get the couples gift baskets they can share. You're not a millionaire, obviously, so you don't want to spend a lot of money but you can put together your own baskets by baking cookies and including some things from target and walmart, like little candies. They're not expecting you to shower them with gifts, so don't feel guilty. You really only need to make a gesture, as others have mentioned, if you decide to go the plant route, that is fine too.

I was in the same sitaution and I purchased a pineapple plant for my boyfriends family. It was a gift that no-one had seen, so it had the novelty factor, and was cheap ($30 from memory) plus everone could eat it once it grew. Unfortunatly the relationship didn't last that long!!

But for the little kid, get a small cheap toy - its going to be broken in a matter of moments anyhow. Get the neice and nephew a movie ticket each and a bag of popcorn and make a "date" for you to take them to the movies.

Grandma& Grandpa--chocolate or food, you could bake for them (find me a grandma that doesn't like chocolate)
Aunt& Uncle--Same as above
Baby sister--some small toy
Neice--some tween toy or subscription to age-appropriate magazine
Nephew--electronic handheld game (like they have at target)

the terrific modern for the mum is detergent, countless packs of cleansing gloves and a few cleansing cloths. For Dad some thing sensible like nasal hair clippers. For the siblings you do no longer choose them to be embarrassed which you spent a lot of money on them so some thing token like "Head and Shoulders",

I have a question for your question. Just how well do you know your boyfriend? If you are thinking marriage, then by all means get everyone something small. But if it's just a boyfriend, then I would stick to getting them a pretty poinsettia plant for the house and call it good. (btw...where are his parents on this list?)
