My doctor said he suspected a possible b vitamin deficiency, but only ran a blood test on b12.

Unless you have a very odd diet, on some very specific medications or have some very unusual medical problems it is nearly impossible to be significantly vitamin deficient in the United States. Why did your doctor suspect B12 deficiency? Are you anemic (there are a variety of more common causes than B12 deficiency) or do you have burning in you hands and feet (also a variety of other causes)?

I suggest a good quality multivitamin with minerals taken daily with a meal to remedy any vitamin deficiencies you may have.
