Have you tried tea tree oil for dry, flaky scalp, shampoo and conditioner, or hair vitamins with biotin because that really strengthens your hair!!!! you probably need to also talk to your beautician at a hair salon because they can also give advice or tips!!!

Try Nizerol. there are only three ingredients on the market for dandruff. T-gel has tar, head and shoulders has pyromyth-something and Nizerol is the only one with a different ingredient. There is no cure. I try to change it up and don't use the same one every day. I'll use half nizerol half normal shampoo twice a week and either regular shampoo or just nizerol on the other days. A little goes a long way (it's about 10-15 bucks a bottles) but it works better than most I've found. And it has no smell like t-gel. Good luck! (also, find a conditioner like Aussie Balancing act that will clean your roots and moisturize yoru ends)

whenever my scalp gets itchy and flaky and my hair looks dull i use mayonaise....smear it all over your hair and cover for 1 to 3 hours, depending on what you feel will work, i like to leave it in as long as possible...the mayo has fat and oil in it so it moisturizes the scalp and hair folicles, when you're ready to rinse out use a dab of palmolive or any dish soap and massage through your hair, it won't hurt your hair, and will break up the grease in the mayo faster, beer works too...then use your regular daily shampoo to rinse the rest away. then for maintenance put a few drops of tea tree oil in your daily shampoo or use a shampoo with tea tree in it...its a natural moisturizer and oil controller, not to mention skin repairer. i hope that helps...good luck.

My friend had that and she used a mixture of mayonnaise and beer......sounds aweful but it works and her flakes are gone and her hair is very soft and easier to deal with. The mayo moisturizes your scalp and helps your hair feel soft and the beer help the flakes and the itch. Wierd but it works...

go to your local health food store and buy nature's gate tea tree shampoo and conditioner. it's a little expensive (because there are no animal products in it) but it's amazing. i've used it for years.
