I have two kids of my own but my sister acts like she doesnt even want the child is there anyone who knows based on this behavior if I could file for temp custody. My mom did not do such a good job with us and her health is horrible!! What can I do?

You need to sit your sister down and ask her if there's a problem. Express your concern about your Mother's health and the amount of time she spends watching her Grandchild. If your sister doesn't seem to care then you'll have to tell her you'll have to take a step that you don't really want to do and contact Social Services. Remind her that it isn't all about her now it's about this little baby. If you don't do anything about it now it will just keep going on and that's not fair for all parties involved.

You might try talking to your sister. She might be relieved to let you have custody. Or if she wants to keep the baby and your mom is just "taking care" of her then maybe you should suggest to your sister that since mom's health is bad you'd like to help out with the baby instead of mom doing it. It sounds like a tough situation. You should definitely put the baby's health and safety first, but if you do call child services then you might cause a rift between you and your sister and your mom. You just have to decide if the situation is really that bad. It is hard for us to say since we don't know your sister. Good luck, I hope it all works out.

Dunno but what I do know is that kids needs lot of love at that age (even in the womb) as some scientists link disorderly behavior later to lack of love towards children since their conception onwards. Sorry to break this to you. Try to talk to your sis about responsibility and stuff and also make her realise the reality of the new life she brought into the world and how its a maternal relationship she will share with the kid.

Good luck

Talk to your mom and sister about it first. Your sister might have postpartum depression and needs medical help.
