The only real danger is in foods that are either raw and then refrozen without cooking, or cooked and then refrozen again. Its to do with growth of bacteria when the food reaches the right temperature. You could for example take some frozen mince out and defrost it, then make a lasagne from it. Cook it and freeze it.

Freezing disables any bacteria that may be lurking (and there will always be some) as it defrosts they start to grow, and then cooking or reheating destroys them all again.

The only hard and fast rules are:

Dont refreeze raw meat
Dont refreeze cooked meat (unless it was raw when it was first frozen)
Check the storage times for your deep freeze (it usually says meat/fish 3 months veg 1 month or something similar)
Prepare the item well. Raw veggies do not freeze well for example.
Ensure that it is well sealed when it goes into the freezer.
Label it otherwise it all starts to look the same!

Freezing your own food is better for you than buying ready frozen meals.

Some foods freeze really well, soups, stews, currys etc. Pasta is not so great but seems to work in a lasagne.

Curry and chilli seems to taste better after its been frozen

Hi sweet, majority of food you can freeze for a month, it is best to check the packaging though to be sure.

Rice i wouldnt because it is a very high risk food.
Things like, bolognaise, chicken casaroles ect can go in the freezer for a month, even bread.

You shouldnt loose the nutrients in the food once frozen, it is best to cook food from fresh though.

Dishes with vegtables, spinach, broccoli, carrots, are all good sources of nutrients, buy them fresh, and use the water for gravy, or sauces.

When you do freeze food make sure that you cook it properly first and then make sure that when you heat it up, it is pipping hot and heated in the middle especially if its chicken.

Hope this is any help,.

When you cook any vegetables there is always nutrient loss, so don't worry too much on account of that. Secondly always check to ensure what foods can be frozen BUT most importantly, how long they are safe to keep. Try not too hang onto things too long. As for rice, yes it does contain things called pathogens (basically bacteria that have a protective "shell", but when microwaving I always defrost the rice slowly (so as not to burn it), and then when cooking cook for 1 1/2 minutes rest for a minute and then cook for another minute. If you try an internet search for nutrition based websites they can help organise your diet. Remember it is not how much you eat but the content of it that makes up your diet, so don't cut things out just redress the balance of your intake.

You can freeze rice. But it does not taste very good once defrosted. But most dinners will last for up to a month. Yes you do looses nutrients.

Don't know about freezing food I'm afraid. Your spelling is far better than many on here though!
